The Public Tax Administration (AEAT) was established on 1 January 1992, since which time Babel has been involved in the development and maintenance of the different systems that make up the revenue management of the Administration. The purpose of the AEAT is to foster compliance by citizens with their tax obligations, informing and assisting taxpayers, and also applying strict plans for the detection and settling of tax breaches through control activities.
The Public Tax Administration is entrusted with effective applying the state and customs taxation system, as well as the resources of other national or EU public authorities, the management of which is entrusted to it by law or by agreement.

The Public Tax Administration is a public entity with corporate status that is responsible for effectively applying the state and customs taxation system along with any resources of other national or EU public administrations and authorities, the management of which is entrusted to it by law.
The Public Tax Administration has always been a forerunner in the advanced use of technologies, innovating through gradual evolution to avoid breaches by citizens in their use.
With an enormous amount of information in its possession, it strives to incorporate analytics and artificial intelligence technologies in order to provide smart digital services, while applying it to active anti-fraud policies.
Fraud detection
Being involved in projects in which data volumetry and cross-referencing techniques are so impressive provides BABEL with invaluable professional experience (search for insolvency proceedings data from the AEAT).
Advanced analytics
If volumetry, quality and diversity are essential in data analysis, this is a clear example of a flagship project, as the Public Tax Administration is one of the leading references in the country. The rationale and social interest of this analysis make this project one of the flagship projects for any data science or professional wishing to pursue a career in this field. It is one of the main references for Babel.
New relationship models with citizens
The need to bring services closer to citizens is becoming increasingly necessary. The digital transformation of such specialised services as those provided by the Administration is already a fact, such as the virtual assistant for electronic office enquiries, and queries with the SII (immediate information system) - a project in which we were involved, primarily in selecting the platform.
Another way of approaching citizens is to provide them with important services such as filing annual income tax returns over a mobile platform, in which case BABEL has helped define and create the architecture
High value digital services
Complete access to all the information and tax legislation that allows the taxpayer to better understand the tax benefits, know their rights and obligations, obtain an online valuation of a property or a vehicle. Possibility of downloading the help program to obtain all the self-assessment forms corresponding to the taxes managed by the Autonomous Community or free access to the self-assessment forms or valid forms for their completion and subsequent physical or digital submission.
Adapted to Law 39 and 40 of 2015
Taking advantage of all the tools provided from the PAE (Portal de Administración Electrónica de la AGE), an efficient investment has been made in the adoption of Laws 39 and 40/2015 with the differential value that the inclusion of the electronic signature as a differentiating aspect in processes and procedures has meant, with considerable savings in paper and an increase in the security of processes.
